Katy writes…The White Company is a firm favourite for good quality basics for adults and kids, and with their 50% off sale on selected items, I’m more spoilt for choice than usual.Jersey roll top trousers

I’ve spent the last couple of months of my pregnancy living in these stretch jersey trousers (and I really do mean almost every day!), they have been washed so much but still haven’t lost any shape or faded at all.  The roll top is perfect to fit over a bump when pregnant and folded down will work afterwards too when you need comfort and a bit of ‘give’.  At £24.27 these are fantastic value.  I’m also coveting this long sleeved empire t-shirt at the moment which I think would be fab to hide a post baby tum.  Available in white, pewter and cocoa, I think it’s an ideal wardrobe basic plus they’re reduced to £15.07 .

Farmyard finger puppetsI was lucky enough to be given these farmyard finger puppets for the little munchkin at Christmas, though I hope my friend isn’t reading this as they are now reduced to £8.80!  You get five beautifully made farmyard animal finger puppets presented in a lovely quilted carry case, which is great for travel and, if you’re anything like me,  ensures you are more likely to keep hold of a complete set!  They also have a beautifully made wooden train set now only £14.65 that definitely looks like you  have paid a lot more for it.

I love these stripey tin buckets; I’ve been looking for plain colour versions but I think these Stripey tin bucketwill work just as well and for £4.65 each, these could be used for a multitude of things, so there is my justification to the husband sorted!  Also, at this time of year I Star lightsthink the house suddenly looks a little plain when all the Christmas decorations and sparkly lights come down.  I could console myself with these star lights though, a great idea for a night light in a nursery.  Priced at £21.53 they’re not at the cheapest end of ‘budget’ but I think with their flexibility, as they could be moved anywhere around the room, it easily makes up for this.  If you want something a bit more girly, you can also get the flower fairy lights for £17.23.

cashmere hand knitted booteesEvie gift setLooking for gifts for a newborn?  Perfect for this freezing weather we’re having at the moment, are  these cashmere hand-knitted Mary Jane bootees which are reduced to £15.00, definitely luxury for less or, this Evie gift set which includes a knotted hat, long sleeved bodysuit and swaddling blanket all in soft cotton jersey and presented in a drawstring bag for £16.80.
