be-small-bagHolly writes…Whether you’re using real nappies, disposables, or a combination of the two, you will need a few items to make every change as fuss free as possible.  I have picked out 5 of the best essential buys for changing your baby, both at home and out and about, on a budget.

Be Small Changing Bag - This really stylish Be Small Tiki Toffee Changing Bag by JuJuBe is a great budget buy, at only £21.04 reduced from £42.09 including free delivery, from JellyBean.  It is a top quality bag with loads of features including a memory foam changing mat, waterproof, Teflon coated exterior fabric; and a crumb drain to help get rid of all those horrible little bits that seem to lurk at the bottom of every bag!  The surf chick fabric is really cool and guaranteed to turn heads!

changing-matBasic Changing Mat - A changing mat is an essential buy for the home.  It will keep your baby comfortable while you change their nappy and will protect whatever surface you choose to change them on.  This Basic Changing Mat from Mothercare is as cheap as chips at only £6.99 and has a sweet polka dot pattern. Available in pink or blue.

tushies-tubTushies Baby Wipes & Tub - For me a baby wipes tub is really a necessary item. It will stop your wipes drying out and makes them easier to get out of the pack when you are in a hurry. This Tunappy-pailshies Tub is £3.61 from Beaming Baby and also contains a pack of 80 natural wipes.

Essentials Nappy Pail - If you are using real nappies you will need somewhere to put the dirty ones before you get round to washing them.  This Essentials Nappy Pail, £3.92 from Boots, is perfect for keechanging-station2ping those  nasty nappy smells sealed away until wash day.

Tub Time Changing Station - Although not strictly an essential item a changing station is certainly very useful.  It gives you a place to store nappies, muslins and other bits and bobs and is much better for your back than changing baby on the floor.  This Tub Time Changing Station from Mamas and Papas also has a built in bath and is priced at £59 reduced from £95, making it a real budget buy.
