About Natalie
I’m Natalie, co-founder of Budget Bambino Goodies and the founder of Bambino Goodies its sister blog. I have been blogging for over four years and veer between writing about dating and relationships, motherhood, and the wonderful world of shopping for baby and parenting goodies. I worked in media (mostly technology magazine publishing) for almost ten years before using the maternity leave opportunity to make a run for it! I have a degree in design and technology/product design that I guess gets vaguely put to use with all of this coolhunting.
I’m mother to the bambino (18 months) and live with her and ‘the boyf’ in Surrey and I’m currently pregnant with ‘baby 2′. I love shopping and I absolutely love a bargain. I know it’s a great sale when I get palpitations and start flapping about in the shop. Since buying a home and having a baby, my shopping talents have spread in many directions and I love the internet for allowing me to window shop (OK and sneaky shop), and I love helping other people shop. My favourite place for palpitation shopping is Century 21 in NYC followed by the various shoe department sales in Selfridges, and Zara Home where I can’t leave without spending far too much money.
Favourite Budget website? - Tough call as I am more of a sale shopper as opposed to budget website shopper, so probably Amazon as I save a fortune on books and even some kitchen equipment.
Best Budget Buy you have made? - Our Ikea changing table simply because I just couldn’t bring myself to spend 3 figures on a so-so table. £17 is an absolute steal.
Do you prefer trawling the web for sales or actual shopping? - This is a tough call. I just love a bargain but nothing beats pounding the streets of NYC or the premium outlets in the US.
What did you last read? - Adele Parks - Young Wives Tales which I haven’t finished yet. I did finish off the Problogger book and Grazia, Heat, and last months Living Etc in the mean time…
